Open the jar, pour the sauce into a pot and gently heat over medium for 3–5 minutes – or heat covered in the microwave. Plan about 125 g sauce per person, toss with freshly cooked pasta and, if needed, loosen with a splash of pasta water. Top with fresh herbs, a drizzle of olive oil or nutritional yeast, as you like. Also perfect for lasagne, bakes or as a pizza sauce. Serve hot and enjoy.

Hearty Oven Bolognese Pasta Bake

Quick oven-baked bolognese tray – ideal when you want something uncomplicated, warming and truly hearty.

How to do it:
Preheat the oven to 200 °C top/bottom heat. Cook 250–300 g short pasta (e.g. penne or rigatoni) 2–3 minutes less than indicated on the package. In the meantime, lightly oil an ovenproof dish. Mix the drained pasta with one jar of vegan bolognese (530 g) and 3–4 tbsp of the pasta cooking water, then spread everything evenly in the dish.

For an extra-fine crust, sprinkle 2–3 tbsp of plant-based grated cheese or a mix of nutritional yeast and breadcrumbs on top. If you like, add some halved cherry tomatoes or thin slices of courgette on the surface.

Bake for about 15–20 minutes until everything is hot and the surface looks lightly browned. Before serving, finish with freshly chopped parsley or basil and a drizzle of olive oil.

Tip:
You can prepare the dish in the afternoon, keep it in the fridge and simply pop it into the oven in the evening – perfect after a long day or after training.
