Alternatively, heat in the oven at 150 °C (top/bottom heat) for about 14 minutes. Tastes great on its own, with baked potatoes and salad, in bowls or sandwiches, or thinly sliced with pasta. For extra freshness, finish with lemon juice and a drizzle of olive oil.

Mediterranean Protein Bowl in 15 Minutes
How to:
Cut the seitan steak into strips about 1–1.5 cm thick and pan-fry it in a little olive oil over medium heat for 1–2 minutes per side until golden and lightly crisp. In the meantime, wash rocket, halve cherry tomatoes, slice cucumber and prepare a few olives. Arrange everything in a large bowl, place the warm seitan on top and finish with toasted seeds (for example sunflower or pumpkin seeds).
For the dressing, mix some olive oil with lemon juice, salt, pepper and optionally a little garlic. Drizzle over the bowl, let it sit briefly and enjoy while still warm.

Perfect as an easy weeknight dinner after training or a long day: plenty of plant-based protein, little effort and a fresh Mediterranean flavour that works wonderfully served warm or slightly cooled.
