Heat a little oil in a pan and fry the bratwurst over medium heat for about 1–1.5 minutes per side until golden brown. On the grill, cook over medium heat for 6–8 minutes, turning several times. In the oven at 120 °C (top/bottom heat or fan), lightly oil the surface and bake on the middle rack for about 15 minutes. Serve classic in a bun with mustard or ketchup, with potatoes and salad, or sliced as a hearty addition to skillets, stews and bowls. Tip: For extra roast aromas, lightly brush with oil before cooking and season with paprika or pepper to taste.

Quick vegan sausage and vegetable skillet for an easy dinner

How to:
Slice the vegan sausage and fry the pieces in a little oil over medium heat until nicely browned on all sides. Then add roughly diced potatoes (pre-cooked or leftovers from the fridge), colourful bell peppers, onions and, if you like, some courgette. Fry everything together over medium heat until the vegetables are tender but still slightly firm. Season with salt, pepper, paprika and a little garlic.

For extra flavour:
Finish with a splash of lemon juice or a spoonful of plant-based yoghurt on top and garnish with fresh parsley. This way you have a warm, balanced meal in just a few minutes that also works perfectly as meal prep for the next day.
